Subdue
all the lighting. I highly recommend using candles in
every room. If your significant other happens to object
– tell him/her that the electricity has gone off. (You
have switched off the breaker or fuses previously, I
hope! Whatever it takes, all's fair in Love and
War...)
Have his or her favorite music playing on the sound
system. But please no John Tesh or Yanni – you don’t
want to put
them to sleep too early!
Buy (or just go into your greenhouse and get them) several
dozen roses and remove all the petals from them.
Liberally sprinkle them in a trail leading from your front
door to your bedroom. Then sprinkle the remainder on top
of the bed. Don’t use the stems however, unless you
want to get rid of your paramour quickly from a bed of
thorns...
Do
you want to know what meaning a certain colored rose might
have? Here is a list of the colors and what they
mean. Be careful picking out the one that’s right for
you.
Red:
Romantic love, I love you, congratulations, job well done.
White:
I am worthy of you, purity, keep a secret, innocence,
youthfulness.
Yellow:
joy, gladness, I care, welcome back, friendship, remember me,
jealousy.
Pink:
perfect happiness, gentleness, believe me.
Peach:
let’s get together, closing of the deal.

Love
is patient. Love is kind. It does not envy.
It
does not boast, it is not proud.
It
is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered.
It
keeps no record of wrongs.
Love
does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.
It
always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always
perseveres.

Other
than each other you might need some real food to keep your
strength up. So try these delectable delights:
Chocolate
Covered Strawberries
You
will have to get fresh strawberries with the stems
intact. Again visit your greenhouse or grocery store. (I
mean have one of your assistants do that mundane job for
you!) Wash and dry them and put them in refrigerator to
chill. You will need: 12 oz. white or regular
Semisweet chocolate pieces, 6 Tablespoons butter or margarine,
½ teaspoon vanilla. Melt the chocolate pieces in the
top of a double boiler. Blend in butter and
vanilla. Dip strawberries in chocolate, swirling to coat
evenly. Place on waxed paper and set in a cool dry
place.

Now
how about some liquid refreshment?
Cupids
Love Tea: 1 cup water, ¼ cup honey, 1 cup apple juice,
¼ teaspoon cinnamon, and 6 Cranberry herbal tea bags. Bring
water and juice to a boil. Stir in honey and cinnamon.
Add the tea bags. Remove from heat. Let stand for one
hour. Add 6 cups of cold water. Pour into glasses
with ice. (Keeps for 3 days – if it lasts that long!)
If you have any strawberries left over, try this: make
some homemade whipped cream and put in a lovely crystal bowl
(only crystal mind you!) and set it on a plate surrounded by
the leftover strawberries. Yum!

Beauty Tips
Last
but not least I recommend pampering yourself using one of my garden
beauty tips. Pick out one of your favorite negligees and
prepare to experience a night of pleasure with your main
squeeze.
What's that? There is no one in your life at the
moment? Aw, you poor thing! Well in that case,
forgo the roses and put on your flannel nightgown. Pop
your favorite video in the VCR and enjoy the strawberries
yourself. But instead of whipped cream, go ahead and
binge on a gallon (why not?) of Haagen Daaz ice cream.
How
do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight.
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day’s
Most quiet need, by sun and candlelight.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right:
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise,
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood’s faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saint --- I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life? And, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.
